Transfer of Iran's E-Government Expertise to Cuba Initiated
The Deputy of Information Technology Organization of Iran (ITO) has announced the launch of a series of sessions aimed at facilitating the transfer of Iran’s e-government expertise to Cuba.
Tehran, Iran –According to a report from the Public Relations Department of the ITO, the inaugural session was convened to discuss the sharing of Iran’s successful e-government project experiences with Cuba's Ministry of Communications. This initiative falls under a memorandum of cooperation established between the two countries, reflecting a commitment to bolster technological advancements through mutual collaboration.
Javad Mohammadi, head of the Smart Government Infrastructure Development Department at the ITO, underscored the importance of executing the joint action plan agreed upon by the two ministries. He reaffirmed Iran's readiness to enhance collaborative efforts, stating, “The Information Technology Organization and the private sector of Iran are prepared to share their expertise and support the advancement of e-government initiatives in Cuba.”
Cuba's Director of E-Government, Martinez, expressed appreciation for the Iranian Ministry of Communications' initiative, deeming it a crucial step in solidifying bilateral relations following the visit of Dr. Hashemi, the Iranian Minister of Communications and Information Technology, to Cuba.
As part of the cooperative effort, it has been agreed that five educational workshops will be organized, targeting relevant experts and managers in Cuba. These workshops are designed to equip Cuban officials with the knowledge and skills necessary to implement effective e-government strategies, tapping into Iran's technological advancements.
This collaboration not only opens avenues for technological growth in Cuba but also strengthens the ties between the two countries, paving the way for future initiatives that could benefit both nations.
