"MyGov" Application Unveils Innovative Features in Latest Update
Tehran, May 6, 2025 – The "MyGov" application has been updated with a host of advanced features designed to streamline electronic services, enhance user experience, and foster a pivotal transformation in government-citizen interactions.
Javad Movahed, Deputy of Smart Government Infrastructure Development, hailed the enhancements as a significant step towards the smart governance of public services and the realization of the nation's digital transformation vision.
"Digital signature capabilities, based on Public Key Infrastructure (PKI), have been fully implemented in the new version," Movahed stated. "This feature will facilitate official processes, eliminate bureaucratic paperwork, and enhance the security of interactions." He further explained that electronic documents are now signed using advanced encryption algorithms and that this service has been activated for 17 executive bodies via web services, with national coverage expansion underway.
Revolutionizing Authentication: Secure Login Without SMS
Addressing authentication innovations, Movahed commented on the challenges posed by SMS-based verification, including security vulnerabilities and cost. "This version introduces a multi-factor authentication algorithm based on unique number matching, enabling secure login without the need for One-Time Passwords (OTP)." He clarified that, using the MyGov application, users can now access systems connected to the National Smart Government Services Window without entering personal identity information.
"This mechanism not only increases speed but also prevents attacks such as OTP theft or Replay Attacks, significantly bolstering security," Movahed emphasized.
Biometric Login: Security and Convenience Combined
Highlighting the importance of user privacy and trust, the Deputy of Smart Government Infrastructure Development affirmed that "Biometric login is designed with international standards (eKYC Level 3) to improve user experience and digital security. Biometric information is stored locally and securely on the user's device, and we have no access to it."
National Window: The Backbone of Digital Governance
Referencing the strategic role of the National Smart Government Window, Movahed stated, "This platform is more than just an application; it is the foundation for an integrated digital service architecture for the country. Its design is based on principles such as interoperability, scalability, and native security."
He emphasized that "The developments made are based on user feedback analysis and aligned with higher-level documents such as the Smart Government Transformation Document, and this trajectory will continue with momentum."
Digital Transformation Serving the People
This update, leveraging innovative technologies and user feedback, represents a significant stride towards achieving smart governance and providing fast, secure, and user-centric services. The "MyGov" application, as a symbol of digital transformation, stands ready to serve citizens across the country.
