Tehran, Iran – Iranian Minister of Communications and Information Technology, Seyyed Sattar Hashemi, departed for Beijing on Sunday evening at the official invitation of the Chinese Minister of Industry and Information Technology.
According to a press release from the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, the visit is a continuation of the strategic "Technological Diplomacy" program, a key priority for the Ministry under the 14th administration. The primary objective of the trip is to foster strategic cooperation with the People's Republic of China in key areas of information technology, communications, digital infrastructure, and artificial intelligence.
During his visit, Minister Hashemi is scheduled to meet with the Chinese Minister of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) and other senior officials. It emphasizes strengthening Iran's international standing in the field of technology, facilitating knowledge exchange, attracting foreign investment, and leveraging global capabilities to develop the domestic technology ecosystem.
Minister Hashemi's trip to China aims to realize this strategic roadmap, accelerate the implementation of previous agreements with China, and expand innovative digital cooperation between the two nations.
