ICT Minister departs for Kazakhstan accompanying 1st VP
The Iranian Minister of Information and Communication Technology Seyed Sattar Hashemi arrived in the Kazakhstan city of Almaty on Thursday as part of entourage of the First Vice President Mohammadreza Aref.
According to the Public Relations Department of the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology,Aref is heading a high-ranking delegation including ICT minister Hashemi at the official invitation of the Kazakh Prime Minister Oljas Bektenov to attend the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) Prime Ministers' meeting and 2025 Almaty Digital Forum.
He was welcomed upon arrival at Almaty International Airport by the deputy prime minister of Kazakhstan.
Aref is scheduled to meet EAEU member states delegations as well as to attend a meeting with businessmen in Kazakhstan during the two-day visit to Almaty.
Hashemi, the only Iranian minister accompanying Aref, is also going to hold a bilateral meeting with his Kazakh counterpart on the sidelines of the EAEU conference and the Almaty 2025 Digital Forum.
